Rowan’s Research Notes 

Now Rowan steps back and looks for patterns. 

He isn’t interested in your wet chair. 

He’s interested in why tiny inconveniences create disproportionate resistance. 

He might write: 

“I’ve observed many travelers preparing for large obstacles while being repeatedly delayed by small ones. The phenomenon appears surprisingly common. A missing item, a minor inconvenience, an unexpected interruption. None individually sufficient to stop the quest. Yet collectively capable of delaying it indefinitely.” 

Rowan turns experience into observation. 

Ember’s Campfire Notes 

Ember doesn’t care about the analysis. 

She notices something else. 

She might say: 

“Have you ever noticed how the goblins are never there after you’ve finished the quest? Before the quest, they’re everywhere. During the quest, they’re annoying. Afterward, they’re almost funny.” 

Or: 

“The part I liked wasn’t the video. It was the Stormtrooper. The moment the quest became playful, it stopped feeling like work.” 

Ember turns experience into wonder. 

Caravan Notes 

Then eventually the community responds. 

“Mine was a dead phone battery.” 

“Mine was forgetting my hiking shoes.” 

“Mine was deciding the kitchen needed cleaning before I could write.” 

Now the story is no longer yours. 

It belongs to the Caravan.
